Free Twitter texts are back for Vodafone users
News - General
Tuesday, 31 March 2009 01:56

UK Vodafone users can now once again receive our live score texts free of charge from Twitter.

Simply sign up for a free Twitter account at http://twitter.com and follow the instructions to add your mobile phone number on the 'Devices' tab in 'Settings'.

You can then 'follow' http://twitter.com/btfc (for the live score updates) and/or http://twitter.com/btfcnews (for the latest stories from the website), making sure you turn 'Device notifications on'.

It is hoped that Twitter may strike deals with the other UK mobile operators soon, to bring the service back to all users.

Non-Vodafone users can still use Twe2 to get the free texts (see our previous article on this), but some users have found there is time-lag with Twe2.

Jason Broom - official statement
News - General
Sunday, 29 March 2009 21:08

Following the departure of First Team Manager Jason Broom, the club have issued the following statement:

We would like to publicly thank Jason Broom for his efforts during his time at Billericay Town F.C. His tireless work rate and 100% loyalty will always be remembered and appreciated. We wish him all the best for the future.

It had already been agreed several weeks ago that Grant Gordon would undertake a different role within the club next season. Off the field, Grant will be working alongside others raising the Club's profile, and developing new avenues of income. On the football front, he will undertake a similar role to ensure we continue to attract the right players, and do that within budget.

Until such time as we appoint a new Manager, Grant Gordon and Lee Hodges will be taking charge of our remaining games.

The Club are inviting applications for the vacant Manager's job.
