"Two betting firms are no longer taking bets on matches involving Chelmsford, Billericay and AFC Hornchurch."

I'm sick of the nonsense we have had to put up with this season! And by the looks of it, it might be an Essex thing?

Bumper crowd anticipated as league leaders come to Town
Edwards ‘As a footballer you should be chomping at the bit to put things right from Tuesday’
‘We’ve got 12 cup finals now and 8 of those are at home. 4 of the last 5 are at New Lodge and that is massive’
Billericay welcome Welling Utd to New Lodge on Saturday hoping to upset the league leaders in front of a bumper crowd.
The Supporters Association have spent much of the week publicising the game around the Town and boss Craig Edwards is hopeful that a larger than usual following of fans can see his side return to winning ways following Tuesday evening's disappointing defeat at Havant & Waterlooville.
The Blues came away from Hampshire after suffering another heavy Tuesday evening defeat and Edwards is still trying to understand the reasoning behind the Blues run of midweek away defeats.
‘We’ve not been beaten at home on a Tuesday night for 2 years, so I need to understand why this is happening on the away Tuesday nights and make some changes. Our away form on a Saturday is actually pretty decent’ he said.

After sustaining an horrific injury at Dorchester Town recently, a benefit night for Blues midfielder Craig Edwards will be held in the Billericay Town FC clubhouse after the home game V's Hayes & Yeading United on Saturday 30th March.
Craig dislocated his knee and has a rupture of the patella tendon. As well as ending Craig's playing career, he will also be unable to work for a very long time.
Included in the night is a Disco, Karaoke, Buffet & of course a raffle or two!
This is a great way for Billericay Town fans, players & friends to show their support for a nice chap both on and off the field. |
