The Blues 2nd pre-season fixture at East Thurrock United ended in a goaless draw.
Craig Edwards made a few changes to his side from Saturday, most notably the return of Craig Edwards Jr who was welcomed back into the centre of midfield. He was joined by Ben Smith whilst returning trialist Jacek Magdzinski headed the forward line with Jay May. In an even first half the Blues just shaded the chances with Magdzinski unlucky on a couple of occasions with Ben Smith seeing his pile-driver go just over the bar.
The second half saw chances at both ends again with Glenn Poole coming closest to breaking the deadlock when he struck the bar from range. Rob Swaine somehow skied over from 2 yards and Josh Hutchinson saw his shot go just inches wide. Magdzinski drew a fine save from the home keeper whilst at the other end Bonnard saved well from a Rocks free-kick.
The Blues are next in action this Saturday when they face Wingate & Finchley at New Lodge (3pm).
