The Blues will start the year on top of the table after a convincing home win over Harrow.
In truth the visitors put up little resistance from the very first minute when they gave away possession after kicking-off. Billericay surged forward and found Emeka Onwubike one-on-one with Will Viner who saved, pushing the ball round the post. The corner was only half cleared when Sam Berry put the ball back into the box, Richard Halle was on hand to head home from close range. Town were all over their guests for the first 25 minutes and created plenty of chances with Onwubike heading another Berry cross wide, while another Onwubike break saw him unselfishly pass to Glenn Poole who pulled his shot past the far post.
The second half started in much the same vein, with Neil Cousins seeing his shot tipped over by Viner. Town finally got their second ten minutes in, when a corner was played to Dave Collis whose cross found Halle for his second of the game. Marcus Rose, who did not enjoy a good game at the heart of the Harrow defence, almost gifted Jay May a goal with a suicidal pass across his own area. The Blues finally wrapped up the points when Rob Swaine volleyed home from another corner.
