If there is enough demand, we will run a supporters coach to Chesham United in the FA Cup. As we have no home programmes to advertise in before the game, we are totally reliant on people booking promptly and spreading the word to other people NOT on the internet. We will need sufficient numbers by this Sunday evening in order for the coach to go.

In the meantime, we still have seats available for the matches at Hastings United and Harrow Borough.

Chesham United: Saturday 26th September
Depart New Lodge: 12:45
Leave Chesham: 17:15

Billericay Ladies 2-0 Royston Town
News - Ladies

The Ladies “Blues“ back to Winning Ways
Match report by Kim Coster.

Billericay Town secure an important 3 points in the season’s campaign.

Billericay were slow off the mark and allowed Royston to play some good neat football.  It was clear that the battle was to be won in the centre of the park and at times became too congested to play football with neither team being able to spread the ball wide.

For Billericay Town LFC Reserves final friendly before our season kicks off, we visited Southend to play Shrimperzone LFC. Shrimperzone play in Div 3 of the Essex League, the same division as Billericay so this could be a good indication of what lies ahead for us.

Just what the doctor ordered, a convincing 3-0 win away from home.

Chesham or Harrow next in the F.A. Cup
News - General
Monday, 14 September 2009 13:00

The draw for the 2nd Qualifying Round of the F.A. Cup was made today.

Billericay Town have been drawn away to either Chesham United (4th in the Zamaretto League Division One Midlands) or Harrow Borough (12th in the Ryman League Premier) on Saturday 26th September.

Chesham drew 1-1 at home with Harrow on Saturday, both goals being scored from penalties. They will replay tomorrow night.

Commenting on the draw, Brian Statham said "Firstly, I'm very satisfied to be in the draw after a very disciplined performance on Saturday. I don’t think it’s ever possible to get the ideal draw in the F.A. cup, unless its Manchester United at home in the 1st round!

Chesham or Harrow in the next round will be another test of our mental resolve and discipline. As a player I was at Chesham from 2000 for three seasons under former Billericay manager John Kendall and then under Bob Dowie. A home draw would have been nice but if we get as good a following as we did Saturday versus Hornchurch then that will be fantastic, as the support the players got from the fans throughout the game helped spur the them on to an excellent result!"

Ian Wiles injury update
News - Players
Friday, 11 September 2009 18:43

An X-ray has found that Ian Wiles sustained a depressed fracture of the skull from a collision during the game versus Tooting & Mitcham last week. He is due to see a surgeon next week to ascertain the next steps.

Brian Statham said "It’s very disappointing news for Ian. His form has been excellent as his partnership with Greg Oates has grown in stature.  I know Ian is very disappointed as he was enjoying his football, but the most important thing above all else is his health."

Everyone at the Club would like to wish Ian a full and speedy recovery.

Town hoping for the luck of the cup in front of goal

Match preview by Paul Jennings.

Blues Boss Brian Statham will be hoping that a change of competition will bring a change of fortune in front of goal when his side travel to AFC Hornchurch in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying round on Saturday.

Town's indifferent start to the season has seen them score just four goals and the Blues boss knows that with the winners of the tie earning £3,000 there is no better time to start converting their chances. With no major injuries or unavailability to report, Town have a full squad to select from.
