Match report by Kim Coster. Billericay win respect from National Status Crystal Palace and their visiting supporters at New Lodge 9th August 2009
Billericay Town Ladies held their final pre-season game against a National league placed Crystal Palace on 9th August at New Lodge. It was believed that Crystal Palace would be bringing their reserve team, but before KO Crystal Palace Manager Quinton Naidoo advised the team consisted of first team players and a couple of youngsters. Their season commences next week so playing minutes are crucial to the start of their campaign. |

The First Team squad will be formally announced at the pre-season party, which starts at 19:30 on Friday night. So bring your friends and family, enjoy the free buffet, cheap bar till 21:00, free entertainment, competitions for free home shirts, and find out the squad before anyone else. |

EJA Friendly: Wivenhoe Town U18s 1 Billericay Town U18s 7 (HT 0-4)
Young Blues Find Their Feet
This seasons new crop of Billericay Town's young talent made the long trip to fellow EJA side Wivenhoe Town to play in the gruelling Sunday afternoon heat. It was Wivenhoe Town who started the liveliest, keeping good possession, but it didn't last long, as it took all of 5 minutes before Billericay striker Jacob Cleaver was put cleanly through by what was the first of many clinically passes from midfielder Randy Kaza, to fire the ball high into the net from the tightest of angles to put the Blues one nil ahead.

On Friday 14th August, the Club have arranged a pre-season party at New Lodge which is open to all supporters, their families and friends.
A complimentary light buffet will be provided and there will be first class entertainment from the very talented singer and comedian Nappa Swann. There will also be competitions to win one of 10 home team replica shirts.
Doors will open at 19:30. Entry to the event and the light buffet will be completely FREE, and the bar prices will be discounted until 21:00. Billericay Town Manager Brian Statham and Assistant Manager Barry Lakin will also be in attendance.
So come along, bring your families and friends and let's all get together as we look forward to the start of the new season which will kick off at home against Wealdstone the following day. |

Billericay Ladies entertained Norwich Ladies at New Lodge on 26th July, 2009. Match report by Kim Coster.
Billericay Town Ladies second pre-season game was played on the top pitch at New Lodge on 26th July against a well organised Norwich team. It was believed that Norwich would be bringing their newly formed reserve team, however it became evident that the team were a mix of first team, which play Combination league and is a further rung higher on the pyramid than Billericay’s level. |

We are planning to run coaches to our away matches at Hendon (who now play at Wembley FC) and Cray Wanderers (this game will take place at Dartford FC).
Details as follows:
Hendon: Tuesday 18th August
Depart New Lodge: 17:20
Leave Hendon: Straight after final whistle.
Cost: £12 Adults, £5 Under 16s

A thanksgiving service for Roy Wren who died earlier this week, will take place at 11:00 next Thursday 6th August at Emmanuel Church, Laindon Road, Billericay. The family have requested that people wear something bright and colourful, rather than black. Directions to the church can be found here. |
