Just a brief note to let you know as of last Tuesday I am back at the helm of our Club.

Running the business of Billericay Town football club is not easy, and it is time consuming. Grant was finding it increasingly difficult to juggle the running of his own business alongside the football club, and as a result the football club was beginning to suffer. So in the best interests of the Club I offered to step in, and Grant agreed.

Grant will remain a large shareholder and will continue to support us however he can. I would like to publicly thank Grant Gordon for his time in the hot seat, especially as it was, for so many reasons, a very difficult season.

I hope to get to grips with our position over the next week or so and put forward a solid plan moving forward which will once again find us a path to promotion.

Steve.

I am absolutely disgusted by some of the comments that were made to Staines Town goalkeeper Jack Turner. The young lad wears pink to support his mother and raise awareness of breast Cancer.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2249054/Goalkeeper-Jack-Turner-banned-wearing-pink-kit-tribute-cancer-suffering-mother.html

Banter with the keepers is normal, and expected, but making comments about the wellbeing of the lad’s mother is despicable.

I want to make this clear. Whoever said those things about both his mother and father, are no longer welcome at Billericay Town FC. If anyone knows who it was, and points them out, we will have them removed from the ground.

I am mindful that the people who made the comments may well be young, and perhaps not really understanding the severity of their comments, however, their ignorance is not a good enough excuse to let such things go.

Ding ding, Round Eight.

We are in a twelve round fight, not EIGHT, so all of you who are leaving early get back to your seats because there are another 5 rounds to go.  We might be a bit battered and bruised, and behind on points, but that means nothing because this isn’t going to be decided on points. This fight will be decided by knock-out, and because it’s a knock-out only fight, we have the advantage.

I have heard the negative words, I read the negative comments, and I just don’t get it, we are still in it, and our players have big hearts they WILL NOT be chucking in the towel. And for those of you who think otherwise...

After the game yesterday, in the home dressing room, certain home team players had a tear-up…..that’s passion, that’s disappointment, that’s frustration, and that’s HEART. There is no hiding place in our team

I have no doubts whatsoever our players will give everything they have and I have no doubts whatsoever they have the ability to win games and keep us in this division.

These are not cheap words, I go into every game thinking, we will win today, I am a great believer in positive thinking. when I leave home on a Saturday morning I end up at my destination. (New Lodge)   I believe I will arrive at my destination on time and unscathed, if I didn’t believe that I wouldn’t venture out of the house.  Positive thinking is how we function, so why put a ceiling on it?

Let’s get out there and tell people there is fight going on at New Lodge, tell them there are still five rounds to go, tell them it’s a corker and there is going to be a knock-out. Tell them it’s a fight they shouldn’t miss. Because the more people there, the more positive atmosphere we can generate , the more likely our man WILL WIN.

Come On You Blues!

Heard some disturbing news tonight, apparently there is a rumour floating around that I am blocking investment into the club. This is total garbage; I’m not at the next two games but when I’m back, and if any supporter wants to ask me any questions directly, I will, as always, give an honest answer. It has to be face to face though; I’ll not answer on the forum or by email. My next game is BorehamWood at home, and every game thereafter.

When I know what the general questions and concerns are, I will probably summarise on here
