I’ve yet to see us take all three points at Harrow Borough but I have no doubt that, one day it will happen. It was an entertaining game I thought with lots of chances for both sides. Although we didn’t test the keeper enough last night, we did create lots of the chances. Our squad has proven goalscorers so it won’t be long before we’re firing on all cylinders.

There were some interesting scores last night, and just two games in, already there are only two teams on maximum points. It’s going to be an exciting season with it all to play for. I was looking for an improvement and so far so good. Last season we began with a win and a loss, so were a point up already!

Our league are very keen that teams embrace the current respect campaign which requires a senior (football) managerial representative being briefed by the ref pre-match, but it does seem that the FA have forgotten to mention this to the referees. Talking of refs, two games in and we have had two decent refs. I hope that’s one trend that continues.

I know a few of you have mentioned Saturday's match report in the local press. I can report that I spoken with the reporter on a different matter, but that topic did come up in conversation and he confirmed to me that he is fully behind and supportive of Billericay Town FC, as he is with all the clubs in his area.

There is no new news re: Chris Wild at this time, other than he is still in some pain and awaiting further tests re: possible joint and ligament damage.

The team really appreciated your support last night, as did the management and board. Taking a coach to Harrow on a Tuesday night is pretty impressive. Well done guys.

Next up Lewes, which is a new ground for me. Rumour has it that our mascot 'Diesel' will be travelling on the team coach. I don’t think he will be taking part in the warm up though, but you never know!
