Firstly I would like to say that I’m disappointed it didn’t work out for Brian & Barry, they brought some good players to our club and played decent football, but we never really got going. My decision was purely a footballing one. Our relationship remained good throughout the season and I hope it remains that way.

Why now?

Well once I had decided that we were going to have a change, I thought in the best interests of all concerned that we split sooner rather than later. It would have been unfair in my opinion to let Brian work and make plans for next season, whilst I was making plans for a new Manager.

It’s time for the players to show us what they are about. At Horsham I thought they were magnificent, they worked their  socks off and deservedly ran out comfortable winners, but on Saturday we showed little desire to increase the 62 goal tally that had been conceded by Cray.

I fully expect our lads play the remaining games with self pride and a professional attitude. They also have an opportunity to repay the faith that Brian & Barry had shown in them.

I have spoken with Ian Cousins and he is fully committed to Billericay, he is giving his full backing to John Mifsud and has pledged to do all he can to ensure we continue to gain as many points a possible, and climb up the table to a decent league position.

New Manager?

Not yet, my phone is red hot at the moment, but right now I’m only concerned with our remaining fixtures, supporting John, Cuz, and the boys.
