In consultation with the Ryman League and the other clubs concerned, we are continuing to look at two options for tomorrow in an effort to return to action.
Tooting have advised that they are clearing their pitch of the remaining snow today and the ground is not frozen. They are optimistic of the match being played in normal circumstances. The main concern however is with the level of overnight rain forecast and an inspection will be made tomorrow morning before a final decision is made.
In the event the game is called off, a second option of visiting Concord Rangers to play the outstanding League Cup tie may be available. Concord's league game tomorrow has already been postponed and, if an alternative League match is not re-arranged and the Concord pitch is playable, Manager Brian Statham has agreed to the team travelling to Concord at short notice to play this fixture.
Updates will be posted through the usual channels tomorrow morning. Club Secretary Ian Ansell can be contacted after 11am on 07958 978154 for those unable to access these sources. |
