Blues exciting season continues with visit of Hendon to New Lodge By Paul Jennings The drama and excitement of this season’s title race continues on Saturday when the Blues welcome Hendon to New Lodge.
With Hornchurch hosting Hastings and Lowestoft not in action until Sunday’s trip to Cray Wanderers, Craig Edwards team will be hoping to remain on top for another week and extend their points advantage over their rivals.
With a hard overnight frost forecast on top of the sub zero temperatures of the past few days, the game is likely to be subject to a pitch inspection.
Should the game get the go ahead the Blues will be without Richard Halle who is due to start the first of his 2 game suspension. The Blues will also be sweating on the fitness of Skipper Rob Swaine who missed last weekend’s victory over Met Police aswell as Jerome Sobers and Greg Oates who are both only rated with a 50% chance of making the starting line ups following injuries they picked up in the same game.
Hendon are having a great season and currently sit in 4th position in the league. They made an impressive start to the season and topped the table in the first few weeks and despite a dip in form in the Autumn have stayed in the hunt for a play off place come the end of the season. The Greens are undefeated in their last 4 games, the last of these being a 2-1 win over Hastings Utd last Saturday.
Admission is £9.50 for adults, £6.50 for concessions and £2.50 for under 16’s
Kick off is at 15.00
