Blues return to New Lodge for visit of Tonbridge Angels
The Blues return to New Lodge on Tuesday evening when Tonbridge Angels are the visitors for a Blue Square Bet Conference South fixture and Craig Edwards team will be looking to get back to winning ways following Saturday’s defeat at league leaders Bath City.
The Blues looked likely to come away with a draw at Twerton Park after Glen Poole’s penalty equalised Charlie Griffin’s opening goal. They were however ultimately undone by Griffin’s second goal of the game, a superb curling shot that found the net from 25 yards.
With Jay May still suspended and Dave Collis still struggling with injury, Edwards expects to have the same squad as he had on Saturday for the visit of Tonbridge and will look for his side to build on the possession and composure his side showed at Bath.
This is Tonbridge’s second season in the Conference South following promotion as Ryman league play off winners in 2011. They had a successful first season at this level and finished in a credible 9th place.
Tonbridge currently sit in 19th position with 3 points from 4 games. They drew 0-0 at home to Basingstoke last Saturday.
Kick off is at 19.45
Admission is £12 for adults, £8 for concessions and £3 for under 16’s.
