Defenders Ian Cousins and Adam Flanagan have signed for Ryman Division One North side Maldon & Tiptree.
Speaking on the departures, Craig Edwards said:
"Cous rang me me and explained he had received a great offer from Maldon & Tiptree to join them as a coach, and play centre half. He's keen to get into coaching and this was a good opportunity for him. It was a very amicable parting done in the right way.
I received a text from Adam (which I still have) the day before I was going on holiday demanding a pay rise or he would be leaving. I telephoned Adam and asked if he would meet me when I got back and we would discuss it, to which he agreed. But whilst I'm on holiday I find out he's signed for Maldon. These things happen, I would like to thank them both for their efforts last season, and wish them well with their new club."
Ian Cousins told the Club it had been a difficult decision for him, as he had enjoyed his time at Billericay Town, and would like to thank everyone connected with the club. We wish both players the best of luck in the future, and thank them for their service, particularly in helping us lift the Essex Senior Cup last season.
