We are pleased to announce that Rob Swaine is once again a Billericay player. Rob came through our youth system under the guidance of John Mifsud and was captain of an U18's side that won every game in their EJA campaign; they also won the league and county cups that year. Rob left us a couple of seasons later, but not before scoring two of the most memorable goals in recent history at an away fixture to Heybridge Swifts.

More recently Rob has enjoyed a long spell at Thurrock in the Blues Square South where he was recognised as one of the division's best defenders, but after much discussion with ourselves and other clubs he has committed himself to Billericay for this coming season.

Everyone at the club is pleased to have Rob back with Chairman Steve Kent saying: “I was disappointed when Rob left. It was unfortunate in the way it was handled and I understand why he left. But I always thought he would be back. There’s a lot of optimism around our club at the moment and I think the addition of Rob Swaine is a clear statement of what we want to achieve this season.”

Rob is expected to be in the starting line up against Leatherhead on August 20th.

Welcome back Rob.
