David had become increasingly frustrated over the past few weeks, seeking a pay increase.  Improved terms were offered, but in return the club required a contract commitment from David which he was not prepared to do.

During the half time period at Saturdays game V’s Wealdstone there was an exchange of views which resulted in David Knight throwing his shirt to the floor, storming out to his car and driving off.  No further comment will be made at this time.
