Billericay Town v Harrow Borough
Isthmian League Premier Division. Saturday 20 January 2018, 3:00pm.

This Saturday Billericay Town welcome Harrow Borough to The AGP Arena.

Harrow currently find themselves in 15th position but have won their last two matches. They opened 2018 with a defeat at Enfield Town but have followed that up with a home win against Needham Market and a 3-2 away victory at Burgess Hill Town.

Town travelled to Harrow in late November and left with three points and a 2-0 win thanks to a Jake Robinson penalty and a late Adam Cunnington goal.

History
Harrow Borough were formed in 1933 as Roxonian FC, moving in to their Earlsmead home the following year. They later became Harrow Town before changing to their current name in the 1960’s.

They competed in local leagues until joining the Athenian League in in 1967 and would be elected to the Isthmian League in 1975. After for seasons in the second tier of the league they were promoted to the Premier Division and have remained at this level ever since.

They lifted the Isthmian League Premier Division title for the only time at the end of the 1983-84 season. It was this season that they beat Yeovil Town in the first round of the F.A. Cup and lost 3-1 at home to Newport County.

They reached the first round of the cup three more times losing to Wycombe Wanderers (2000-01), Chesterfield (2010-11) and Northampton Town (2016-17).

Since the turn of the century The Borough have only managed one top ten finish, losing out to Kingstonian in the play-offs.

Billericay Town and Harrow Borough first met on Saturday 29 August 1981 in the Isthmian League Premier Division at New Lodge. Two goals from Town’s top scorer for the season, Gary Rolph, gave Town a 3-1 victory in front of 595 spectators.

The first meeting between the two at Earlsmead took place on Saturday 20 November 1981 with Borough winning 2-1.

Head to Head
Since that first win for Town in 1981 Harrow Borough had lead the way in the head to head between the two clubs. The Blues have clawed back that lead since rejoining the Premier Division in 1999.

Of the 48 meetings between the two clubs Harrow have won 17, Billericay 17 and 14 draws.
