Owner/Manager Glenn Tamplin was so upset with the way he prepared the team for the match against Dulwich on Tuesday that he has announced half price entry for the visit of Leiston, for all fans.
Tickets are being made available from the turnstiles for either sets of supporters that wishes to buy one before the match but wants to go out before entering the ground for kick-off. The match is not expected to be sold out.
The club have organised a few added extras for the day.
Beer will be available outside of the clubhouse from sellers with backpacks. There will also be an ice cream van and a hog roast!
After the success of the Fans Forum another Pie and Mash stall will be set up.
Fans are also being invited to take in Easter Eggs and hand them in at the bar. These will then be taken to the children’s ward at Basildon Hospital where they will be handed out by the players.
Its since been announced that Mark Wright will again come along to lend his support to the team.
Billericay Town v Leiston
Isthmian League Premier Division. Saturday 1 April 2017, 3:00pm.
These two sides last met in Suffolk back January. Chris Assombalonga made his Blues debut and scored 4 minutes in to the match but Leiston ran out 4-1 winners.
Leiston have now won 4 of their last 10 matches, their last outing ended with a 1-0 away defeat at league leaders Bognor Regis Town. Prior to this Conor Hubble scored twice in a 2-0 win against Worthing.
They currently sit in third place, thirteen points behind Havant & Waterlooville.
Leiston have been Isthmian League members since 2011. They spent one season at League One North level and have been in the Premier Division since then, only finishing outside the top ten at the end of that first season.
The first meeting between Town and Leiston took place in a League Cup match on Wednesday 16 November 2011 in Suffolk. The hosts won 1-0 in front of a crowd of 179.
The first league meeting was held at New Lodge during November 2013. A Callum Dunne double, Rich Halle penalty and a strike from Junior Luke gave Town a 4-1 win. Leiston came back to Billericay four days later in the FA Cup when James Robinson and Ricky Sappleton goals gave Town a 2-0 win.
The return fixture in Suffolk took place during November and ended in a 2-2 draw. Sean Bonnett-Johnson and Ricky Sappleton scoring Town’s goals.
The two clubs have met on nine occasions since 2011. Billericay lead the way with 4 wins to Leiston’s 3. Town also lead the way with the goals scoring 19 with Leiston striking 12 times.
Once again Glenn and Justin have a full squad to choose from.
