Wingate & Finchley v Billericay Town
Isthmian League Cup 4th Round. Tuesday 16 January 2017, 7:45pm.

The Blues make their way to The Maurice Rebak Stadium this week for the first meeting with Wingate of the season. These two sides will meet twice more before the end of the season.

Amongst the Wingate squad are a few faces that will be familiar to Town fans. Ola Williams joined last season with Quentin Monville and Afolabi Obafemi joining for this season.

Wingate have only lost 2 of their last 10 league matches. On Saturday they beat Harlow Town 2-0, which leaves them sitting in tenth and only 6 points away from the play-off spots.

History
Wingate and Finchley merged to created the current club in 1991 and joined the Isthmian League in 1995, briefly switching to the Southern League before switching back. They gained promotion to the Premier Division via the play-offs in 2011.

Billericay Town and Finchley first met for the 1980-81 season in Isthmian League One. The first meeting was on Tuesday 21 October 1980 at New Lodge. A Clair Darmudas goal was enough to give Town the win.
