In light of recent posts on social media regarding an incident with one of our substitutes during their half time warm up at Slough Town FC last Saturday, we have been in communication with Senior officials at Slough Town FC regarding the incident in which our substitute was subject to an alleged verbal abuse and jumped the pitch side barrier and entered in to a verbal dispute with a small number of Slough Town supporters. CCTV footage of the incident appears to support this account. The match Safety Officer and Stewarding Team intervened and quickly dealt with the situation. The referee, who was in his changing room at the time was contacted by the Safety Officer and made aware of the incident. Senior officials of both teams were also immediately made aware of what had happened. No external authorities were called or notified and Police did not attend. The Referee indicated after the match that he would mention the incident in his match report. Both ourselves and Slough Town regret this unfortunate incident and advise that no further comment will be made from either club, and no action be taken.
We thank Slough for their assistance in this matter and wish them and their fans all the best for the rest of the season.
