Billericay Town are pleased to announce that Frankie Merrifield has penned a new contract, keeping him at New Lodge until the end of the 2024/25 season.

A summer arrival from Bishop’s Stortford, the 30-year-old has played an integral role in the campaign so far having made 34 appearances in all competitions and scoring on seven occasions.

Merrifield has predominantly featured in midfield this term but he has been utilised as a striker recently due to injuries sustained to Ade Azeez and Moses Emmanuel.

Blues boss Gary McCann is full of praise for his recent performances.

“Frankie has been excellent all season, playing in various positions at a very good level,” he said.

“But his performances of late as our number nine have been exceptional and his contract extension is well deserved.

“We can look forward to working with him on achieving our goals this season and next.”
