Billericay Town FC are pleased to announce that Jamie O’Hara has signed a contract to remain as the manager of our men’s first team until the end of the 2020 – 2021 season.

Making the announcement today, BTFC chairman David McCartney said, ‘Jamie has been our manager since the consortium took over in Oct 2019. He has provided tremendous support around the financial changes that we have had to make and has the team playing a really exciting brand of football. In addition, he is simply a fantastic ambassador for the club both through his media work and the way that he interacts with the fans and local community. As an ownership group, our intention is to bring much needed stability ahead of implementing plans to take this community club forwards. Securing Jamie’s signature today helps with both aspects. It is a very positive step for the club.’

Speaking to Billericay Town FC media after signing his contract, Jamie O’Hara expressed his delight at the commitment both parties have made. ‘I’ve been at this club for several years now as both a player and now as the manager. It’s just a special place and our fans are amazing. I really couldn’t be happier at being given the chance to continue my managerial career here beyond the current season. I have an excellent relationship with the owners and want to play my part in the next stage of this club’s story. Together with my assistant manager, Gifton Noel-Williams, and the rest of the backroom team we have brought together an exciting squad that we believe can still climb the table this season. Next season, we will have a brand new artificial surface to play on. I think that it will suit the style of football that I like to play and allow us to build momentum knowing that games are not going to be cancelled.’
