It is with great sadness and disbelief that I am writing this statement.
This is one of the hardest things I have had to do in my time involved here at Billericay Town Football Club. This morning we learned of the sudden passing of lifelong supporter Joyce Symes.
To try and quantify what Joyce meant to Billericay Town FC and everyone involved is an impossible task and this loss is immeasurable. The memory of Joyce will stay with me forever, she was always there, every game, home and away, sitting in the stands with a blanket on her lap, with open arms, always a big kiss for hello and farewell, always asking how my family was. She was Billericay.
We travel to Wealdstone tomorrow where sadly they have also lost a loved one and we would like to join them in a 1 minute silence before the game and we will also be holding a 1 minute silence on Tuesday night at New Lodge in honour of Joyce.
On behalf of myself, the board of directors, the supporters trust, and everyone involved here at Billericay Town, our thoughts are with Ron and his family and friends at this very sad time.

So sad a lovely lady a true Billericay supporter we will miss her in the Boardroom our thoughts are with Ron and her family.
Absolutely shocked to hear this sad news, our thoughts are with Ron and his family.
The Moore family.
For many years we lived in Hutton and supported Billericay FC home and away and knew Joyce and Ron.
We moved away to Lanzarote and were only able then to return to the club on rare occasions. Nevertheless we have followed the clubs fortunes avidly since and we are so sad to hear about the passing
of Joyce. Ron will not remember us but even so we wish to add our sincere condolences to Ron, his family and Billericay FC,
Roy and Sheila Lewis.
She was like my Nan during my time at the club, always welcomed me with open arms a smile and a kiss, asking how I was. She was a true lady and a true Blue, I always told Ron was the luckest man at Billericay xx rest now Mrs Billericay. Xx
OMG what a shock and so so sad. From a personal point of view I am heart broken. Joyce has spent the best part of her life supporting BTFC in many different ways. Going way back to my playing days she loved us players and all the players since then. Never a bad word to anybody, always encouragement. We are all going to miss her and I only hope Ron and the family can come to terms with their loss. My thoughts are with you.
So sorry to hear the sad news about Joyce. With Ron they were Billericay Town Football Club and so helpful to me in my time at the

An ever present, not just on match days, but also when I ran the Crawdaddy Blues club there for many years. Always busy doing something useful for the club and a great supporter of everything associated with Billericay Toen FC. A lovely couple who were clearly devoted to each other. I send my condolences to Ron and his family on behalf of all the Crawdaddy crew. RIP Joyce.
So sorry to learn of Joyce’s passing. Always smiling and always helpful. I knew her for many years as a club official and while I was at the club a week ago for a reunion of some of the former players and officials I didn’t manage to see her. My thoughts are with Ron on this sad occasion.
