Position: Defender

Age 25 (24 June, 1993)           Height 6ft 2ins (1.88M)

Previous Club:  Wingate & Finchley     Born: London

Joe joined BTFC in November 2017 from Isthmian Premier side, Wingate & Finchley. He was named in the Isthmian Premier 2017-18 Team of the Season.

Despite a mid-season arrival in 2017-18, he settled into the team quickly and made a strong start, alternating between right full-back and centre-back. A good decision maker, with strong aerial presence, and ability to play the ball out of defence. Despite not having played higher than step three previously, he is now one of the best defenders at the club and should prosper at national South level.

An alumnus of youth level football at North-east London based, Ridgeway Rovers, Joe shares the simple beginnings of other notable graduates such as David Beckham and Andros Townsend.  At U-11 level, Joe even found himself lining up alongside Tottenham and England striker, Harry Kane.  Although his pathway to senior football would not be as illustrious as the lucky few, he would accumulate first team experience at Eton Manor and Enfield 1893 in the Essex Senior League.

In June 2014, Joe signed for Isthmian North side, Waltham Abbey, and was part of the Abbots side that secured its League status (17th) and had the longest FA Cup run in the club’s history, reaching the third Qualifying Round. For the 2015-16 campaign, Joe moved to Isthmian North rivals, Cheshunt, who had recruited ex-Abbotts boss, Paul Wickenden, as assistant manager. As one of a trio of Waltham Abbey players making the switch, the new look Ambers’ side would target the play-offs. His two season stay in Hertfordshire would, however, end in disappointment with the club finishing 6th and 10th in the League table.

Impressing at the Ambers, Joe attracted the attention of Isthmian Premier side, Wingate & Finchley, signing a deal in June 2017.  Enhancing his impressive reputation at the higher level, by contributing to the bright Wingate & Finchley start to the season, he came to the attention of Billericay Town.

In November 2017, Joe signed for Billericay Town, slotting into the back-line in either the right full-back or centre-back position.
