Billericay Town v Lowestoft Town

Lowestoft’s match with Dulwich on Saturday was postponed but prior to this they beat Enfield Town 3-0 on Tuesday. Lowestoft are currently sitting in 19th.
Billericay travelled to Crown Meadow in August. Jake Robinson scored his first goal of the season and Louie Theophanous back-heeled in the winner.
Lowestoft was formed in 1887 when two clubs merged together. Like Billericay they added ‘Town’ to the clubs name later.
Lowestoft Town joined the Isthmian League in 2009 having won the Eastern Counties League. They were founder members of the Eastern Counties League in 1935 and were the competitions first champions.
Prior to this they’d made their mark on non-league football by finishing as runners-up in the F.A. Amateur Cup in 1900 to Bishop Auckland, the competitions most successful club.
It appears that Lowestoft Town and Billericay Town first met in the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy on 6 September 1980. The match ended goalless in Suffolk but Billericay won the replay 7-1 at New Lodge, the goals came from Fred Clayden 2, Keith Massingham 2, Paul Scott 2 and Dave Groom.
Visiting fans travelling by train will find two taxi ranks outside the station. A Cab journey to the ground should cost around £5.00.
Alternatively the High Street is a short walk from the train station and is home to several pubs, restaurants and café’s. The High Street is 10-15 minute walk from the ground.
For those driving to the match there is secure parking available for £5.00, or street parking is limited along Tye Common Road.

Fans are asked to get to the ground in plenty of time, as tickets will need to be purchased from the ticket office prior to entering the ground.

50/50 tickets are available from inside the ground for £1.00. Half the money raised goes to the holder of the winning ticket, with the other half going to the club.
