Your contract has been extend for another season at New Lodge, how excited are you to play another season for the Blues?

‘I think this season we have a young, energetic, exciting team who are very hungry to be successful. So hopefully, that will give the fans something to cheer about and really get behind.’

What was the key influence in you wanting to stay at Billericay for next season?

‘One of the key influencers in me staying was the gaffer. You rarely find someone who is open, honest and holds you accountable and he is exactly that.’

How disappointing was it to be relegated last season after being one of the star players in the team?

‘It hurt being relegated and it took me some time to get my head around It. But I’ve always said as long as I can look at myself in the mirror and say I gave my all every time I stepped onto the pitch, I’ll live with whatever the results are and I did that last year so that made it an easier pill to swallow.’

How important is it to return to the Vanarama National League South at the first time of asking?

‘That’s the challenge the gaffer has set for the boys, now it’s about us going out there and delivering consistent high-level performances and if we can do that I’m sure we will have a successful season.’

What are you hoping to achieve next season?

‘To do something special and have fun while doing it.’
