We are delighted this evening to be to announce the signing of Ronnie Henry a CB from League Two Stevenage FC, he will officially be a Billericay Town player as soon as his contract expires on 30th June.
Ronnie began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, however, he was released at the age of seventeen and joined Stevenage on a free transfer in January 2005 and would later become a key member of a historic Steveange side including a Conference Final Play-Off win against Torquay United in 2005, in his initial seven-year spell, Ronnie won the FA Trophy in 2009 and has also won promotion with Luton Town.
After leaving Stevenage to join Luton in 2012, Ronnie returned two years later, where he has gone on to become Stevenage’s all-time record appearance holder.
Harry Wheeler had this to say on his latest signing..
”Ronnie is a stevenage legend amongst other big clubs he has been at, he is a leader, a great club man, he will be a great addition with his vast league experience, he knows how to control games from the back and it’s taken a while but i’m delighted to say he is now a Billericay Town player.”
