The latest squad changes at New Lodge, by Jack Patmore

Anthony Jeffrey leaves BTFC

Anthony Jeffrey has departed the club following a two-season spell at New Lodge.  He joined in February 2022 and departs having made 43 appearances in blue.

Last season, the 28-year-old predominantly played on the right-wing and he scored on three occasions in 30 games.

He arrived having had a wealth pf experience at clubs like Wycombe Wanderers, Forest Green Rovers and Wrexham but now departs for a new venture.

We wish AJ all the best for the future and thank him for his time at the club!

Jay joins the Blues

Jay Porter becomes the next new addition, and the third from Bishop’s Stortford, as he puts pen to paper on a deal for the forthcoming season.

Porter is an experienced left-back having started his career with Dartford. Following loan spells at Redbridge and Thamesmead Town, he joined the latter permanently in 2014.

After three years in south-east London, Porter signed for Hornchurch. Moves to Margate and Braintree Town followed, before signing for Bishop’s Stortford ahead of the 2022/23 season.

He was named as the Managers Player of the Season last season as he played a key role in Stortford securing promotion to the Vanarama National League North.

Welcome to Billericay Town, Jay Porter!
