Bishop’s Stortford 2 Billericay Town 6
Pre-Season Match. Saturday 22 July 2017.

Town continued their good start to pre-season with an impressive away victory in a very wet Bishop’s Stortford.

Billericay, again in red, field a different XI for each half, but had to manage without Rob Swaine.

Town took the lead through an own goal and Joe Ellul made it 2-0 with a headed goal from a corner.

Stortford made it 2-1 after the break but Sam Deering scored a brilliantly placed goal, curling the ball well out of reach of the keeper.

Jamie O’Hara’s match came to an end as he limped off, eventually being replaced by Dan Walker.

Sam doubled his tally with a low drive through a crowded box.

Billy Bricknell scored from the spot to make it 5-1.

Louie Theophanous capped another impressive appearance with a goal after a scramble in the area to make it 6-1.

Stortford ended the scoring with their second goal, with less than 10 minutes left.
