Terras return to Billericay

Weymouth F.C. and their fans will make a 360-mile round trip for Saturday’s National League South match.

This will be only the second match between the two clubs, the first took place at New Lodge on Saturday 11 October 2014 in the Third Qualifying Round of the F.A. Cup.

A pitch inspection has been arranged for mid-morning.  The results of the inspection will be posted on social media and this website.

Town were still members of the Isthmian League Premier Division whilst the Terras were competing in the Southern League Premier Division. A crowd of 456 watched on that afternoon as Jacob Cleaver had an early penalty shout turned down.

In the second half Weymouth had a penalty saved by Billy Lumley but Weymouth took the lead through Stewart Yetton. Jeffery Imudia went close as The Blues looked for an equaliser. With the match all but over Cyrus Mahler had a shot pushed over the bar by the visiting keeper.

Weymouth went on to play, and be beaten by, Braintree Town in the next round.

Billy Lumley was awarded Man of the Match for his display in goal.

The Terras were promoted as Southern League Champions last season and have had a very good start to the season and start the afternoon in third place.
