League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far – and what’s ahead!

Our story so far…

A ten-point start in a division which only gets tougher inside the first fortnight is decent enough – but could it have been even more?

From the dugout…

Harry Wheeler isn’t in the mood for his players to be handing out gifts. “We give teams lifelines and we gave them a penalty,” he said after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Hampton. “It gives them a lift and that bugs me a little bit.”

Biggest result so far…

Winning when not at their absolute best against tricky customers Welling United. That may not have happened last season.

Top performer to date…

Jordan Parkes is finding his feet, just like everyone knew he would.

Things to improve on…

Growing on the road. Four points from the three away games maybe, but letting in five on the road so far points to a problem which needs addressing.

Stat attack…

League position: 6th

Home goals for: 3

Away goals for: 4

Home goals against: 1

Away goals against: 5

Top scorer…

Jake Robinson (2)

So who’s next up…

It’s a home game against Ian Allinson’s St Albans City. The Blues have produced in front of their own fans so far.

What can we expect?

For the second Saturday running, a match against a team who have yet to win a game. The last one didn’t go to plan, so can lessons be learned?

We’ve met before…

Back in late December was the last time the two sides crossed swords. It was a hard day to digest for Billericay at Clarence Park. Sam Merson hit a very, very late winner for the Saints.
