Folkestone Invicta v Billericay Town

Town fans will be travelling in to Kent this Wednesday as The Blues face Folkestone Invicta.
Folkestone are enjoying a very good season and will be expecting to be competing for a play-off place at the end of the season.
Amongst Invicta’s squad is former Town striker Ade Yusuff. Ade joined Town from Chatham but found his chances limited. He left to join Hornchurch and is currently Folkestone’s top goal scorer, reaching 20 goals before New Year.
The last time Billericay Town travelled to Folkestone Invicta was on 22 November 2016. The hosts on the match 2-1.
Folkestone Invicta were formed in 1936 and played in Kent Leagues until 1998 joining the Southern League. They only had to wait two seasons until they gain promotion in to the Southern League Premier Division but were relegated after three seasons at that level.
The Seasiders joined the Isthmian League in 2004 and in that 14 years have spent seven seasons in the Isthmian Premier Division. Their highest finish to date was 13th in 2005-06, the same season they reached the F.A. Cup First Round Proper.
Having beaten Egham, St. Margaretsbury, Staines and Aylesbury The Stripes travelled to League Two Chester City. The league side won the match but Folkestone left with a very creditable 2-1 defeat.
The Cheriton Road Stadium was home to Folkestone F.C. until the folded in 1990. Folkestone Invicta moved in to during 1991.
The stadium has covering down one side and behind one of the goals. At the other end of the pitch is a great terraced area with another terrace along the far side.
The stadium is near the M20 and near to Folkestone West Train Station, though Folkestone Central is much further away.
The BTIS are running a coach to Folkestone this Wednesday evening. The coach will leave Blunts Wall Road at 5:10pm and return straight after the match.
