The Blues are now approaching their second match of the week when they welcome East Londoners Romford to The AGP Arena.

Tonight’s visitors beat Grays Athletic in the quarter-finals. They were beaten at home by Ware on Saturday but had won their four previous matches. This defeat leaves them 23rd in the league, 5 points ahead of Cheshunt.

In the other semi-final East Thurrock United will play Chelmsford City. The two winners will travel to Colchester United on Tuesday 20 March for the final.

History
The original Romford club were formed in 1876, then reformed in 1929 and again in 1992. The previous Romford clubs had lifted the Essex Senior Cup five times between them.

The first Romford club made an appearance in the F.A. Cup Quarter-Final during the 1880-81 season, losing 15-0 to Darwen in March 1881.

Romford are currently in their ninth season back as members of the Isthmian League having won the Essex Senior League in 2009.

The last time these two clubs met was on Wednesday 9 November 2016 in Thurrock for an Essex Senior Cup match. Goldy Capela scored for Town as the match ended 1-1 and went to penalties. Billericay won the shoot-out 3-1.

AGP Arena
Visiting fans travelling by train will find two taxi ranks outside the station. A Cab journey to the ground should cost around £5.00.

Alternatively the High Street is a short walk from the train station and is home to several pubs, restaurants and café’s. The High Street is 10-15 minute walk from the ground.

For those driving to the match there is secure parking available for £5.00, or street parking is limited along Tye Common Road.

Fans are asked to get to the ground in plenty of time, as tickets will need to be purchased from the ticket office prior to entering the ground.

50/50 Tickets
50/50 tickets are available from inside the ground for £1.00. Half the money raised goes to the holder of the winning ticket, with the other half going to the club.
